Pupil Absences
In the event of your child being absent from school it is necessary that a note of explanation be forwarded to the class teacher for our records. (This note need only be brief and simply state the reason for the absence and the date or dates of absence).
If it is anticipated that your child will be absent for more than 3 days please inform the school of this matter.
Class rolls are checked regularly by the Department's Home Liaison Officers, who may recommend action be taken in the event of a pattern of unexplained absences being recorded in a roll for a specific pupil.
