Homework Policy
At Coledale, we believe homework is beneficial as a tool for children to revise work covered in class.
It also establishes good basic study habits for future years. By presenting gradual amounts of homework over the years in primary school, children should be prepared for and able to cope with varying amounts of homework in secondary school.
Early Stage 1 and Stage 1 children are set literacy and numeracy tasks on a weekly basis.
Stage 2 - a maximum of 30 minutes homework per night
Stage 3- a maximum of 45 minutes a night.
