Parent Communications

Contacting Parents

The school places great importance on communication between teachers and parents but parents should remember that teachers can have up to thirty children to care and plan for constantly throughout the day and are not always able to stop to talk to visitors.
A telephone call to the school, or a note to the teacher is the best way to make sure that a meeting can be arranged at a suitable time.

Communications

From time to time, pupils may experience problems related to school matters.
These may be academic or may be social in nature (or something else).
Often this problem doesn't become obvious at school but may become quite significant at home.
It is important that the school becomes aware of any problem so that we are able to help.
We invite parents to contact the school to discuss any problem or to obtain additional information.

Newsletters are sent home fortnightly, with the eldest child in the family.
The newsletters contain information about school activities.

A "Community Notice Board" is situated near the entrance to the school.

Reporting to Parents

Evaluation is on-going and is done on a regular basis.
Pupil Progress Reports are sent to parents in December as a follow-up to this evaluation.
Parent/Teacher interviews are conducted in mid-year.
An Information Session is usually held in March.
